Roselli’s Italian Market

ReBranding & Marketing - Medford, NJ

Roselli’s Italian Market

As a graphic designer, I was tasked with rebranding and marketing Roselli's Italian Market, a beloved local grocery store known for its authentic prepared foods and housemade pastas. My goal was to create a brand identity that felt as rich and flavorful as the food itself. I dug into the history of the Roselli family, drawing inspiration from traditional Italian aesthetics and typography to craft a visual language that felt both classic and contemporary. This allowed me to honor the store’s heritage while appealing to a new generation of customers. The rebrand aimed to tell a story of quality, tradition, and passion, ensuring that every piece of marketing—from the logo to the in-store signage—communicated the heart and soul behind Roselli's delicious offerings.

  • To refresh Roselli's Italian Market's brand, I focused on infusing their long family history and authentic Italian personality into every design element. The goal wasn't just to attract new customers, but also to reassure loyal patrons that the heart of the business remained unchanged. I developed a visual identity that felt warm and familial, drawing on classic Italian aesthetics and a rustic yet refined color palette. This approach allowed me to create a brand that felt both timeless and fresh, celebrating Roselli's reputation for being reliable and delicious. By highlighting the family's story and their passion for quality, the rebrand successfully communicated that while the look was new, the commitment to their heritage and exceptional food was as strong as ever.

  • In addition to the physical branding, I developed a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to bring the new Roselli's identity to life online. For social media, I created a content plan that highlighted the visual appeal of their prepared foods and pastas, using high-quality photography and engaging captions to tell the story behind each dish. I also designed templates for email blasts that would not only announce new specials and products but also share family recipes and behind-the-scenes glimpses into the kitchen, making customers feel like part of the Roselli's family. The website was updated with the new branding, and I collaborated on blog posts that shared stories of Italian food traditions and the history of the market, reinforcing the brand's authenticity. This cohesive digital approach ensured that the new brand was consistently communicated across all online platforms, driving both new and repeat business.

  • Building on the brand's foundation, I designed specific marketing campaigns to spotlight seasonal offerings and key products while maintaining a cohesive look. For a "Food and Wine Tasting" campaign, I created a rich, sophisticated aesthetic with a deep color palette of reds and purples, and subtly integrated elegant wine stain elements into the design. This fresh new look was applied to both digital invitations and print flyers. A campaign for their housemade pasta featured a minimalist design with close-up, textural photos of the different pasta shapes, using a clean layout that highlighted the product's quality. Each campaign had a unique feel, but I ensured they were all tied together through consistent typography, logo placement, and a shared brand voice. This strategic approach allowed Roselli's to run targeted promotions that felt new and exciting to customers, while still reinforcing their core identity as a trusted, family-run Italian market across both digital ads and in-store signage.
